So has anyone started a book called something like "Reviews of 'Reviews of This Book'" or maybe, "Meta-Reviews of This Book"? :-)

I'm thinking of something completely independent of _this_ book, that is, "Reviews of This Book."

What I imagine is a book consisting only of _reviews_ of the reviews of the book. Where you'd be commenting on the yet-to-be-written reviews of a book which did not yet exist.

To how many levels can this be carried? :-)

The advent of Google Docs provides an interesting platform from which to execute this project. Each author's review could be a doc embedded in a page, such that visiting the "Reviews Of This Book" would present the most up-to-date version possible of every review.

Authors could then be invited to re-read the page periodically and edit their reviews dynamically as time passes.

I congratulate you on pulling off this project. Now if only everything else Dr. Hofstadter has wished for in his writings would come about. Like in GEB where he saw no answer to one doubting one's own sanity. In any case, Douglas and I do communicate occasionally, mostly when I get something wrong writing to him and he can set me straight. Congrats again.
